From 4 to 9 December 2024, the team held a Data Analysis/Writing Workshop in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. The programme focused on NVivo data analysis across the four research teams, paper development and planning for outputs, policy engagement and impact.
Attendees and facilitators were from the University of Glasgow (Dominic Pasura, Nomatter Sande, Sarah Kazira, Angela Malle), University of Zimbabwe (Ezra Chitando, Reggemore Marongedze), University of Calabar (Dodeye Williams, Ntongha Ikpi) and University of Pretoria (Bernard Matolino, Sibusisiwe Mlambo).
Workshop overview
Day 1: Opening remarks; overview of objectives and schedule
Day 2: NVivo data analysis sessions led by each university team, followed by reflections and open discussion.
Day 3: Sessions on conceptual frameworks, lived experiences and intersectionalities and transnational spaces, followed by reflections and open discussion.
Day 4: Sessions on theoretical/contextual foundations, methodological approaches, and regional case studies, reflections and open discussion.
Day 5: Sessions on future directions and policy implications, methodological reflections, project impact planning and final reflections.
Planned and ongoing outputs include journal articles, books, conference presentations, media and community engagement, policy briefings, practitioner guidelines and collaboration activities.
