FAITHED researchers Anders Aschim (Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences) and Marta Bivand Erdal (Peace Research Institute Oslo) gave a “masterclass” for the MSc-students of sociologist Dominic Pasura on the programme Global migrations & social justice at the University of Glasgow on Thursday 19 October. They presented a case from FAITHED data with the title “Transferring faith: Passing on the faith in the superdiverse Catholic context in Norway” for an interested group of students coming from Scotland, Iraq, India, Turkey, Sweden, Palestine, the US and other corners of the world.
Update: PI participation at the FAITHED Hamar symposium
Dominic Pasura participated in the FAITHED symposium at Campus Hamar, University of Inland Norway (October 2024). The symposium formed part of the FAITHED project on non-formal faith education, the public school and religious minorities in Norway.
He contributed to sessions on minorities, migration and religion in schools and faith communities, sharing insights from RASTAY and engaging with FAITHED researchers and partners. The visit supported knowledge exchange between FAITHED and RASTAY, including discussions on comparative approaches to studying religion, youth and mobility and on opportunities for future collaboration.
