On 5 December 2025, the RASTAY project held its Lagos Dissemination Workshop in hybrid format at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. The event brought together young people, religious leaders, academics, project partners and members of the Young People Advisory Group to discuss early findings on religion, migration and youth.
Discussions highlighted how economic pressures, insecurity and the search for opportunity continue to shape young people’s migration aspirations in Nigeria, while religion remains an important source of belonging, guidance and support. The workshop also explored the growing significance of digital religion and the need for stronger support for left-behind young people. Feedback from the event will help strengthen the project’s policy briefs and wider dissemination outputs.
